Learning Goals

During this field trip we will be looking at the geological history of these locations, where they are located and why they were chosen to be part of the top seven. Here are some questions to ask yourself to make sure you understand each location.

1. What are the seven wonders of the world?
2. Where are they located?
3. Why did they make the list of the top seven?
4. How were these places formed?
5. What other natural wonder would you add to the top 7 list?
6. Can we compare these locations with any other similar locations? How are they different? How are they similar?

For each stop you will be required to read the text, analyze the images, and watch the related videos to find questions to these answers. If you have any additional questions please feel free to ask (you might be able to find answer to your additional questions by exploring the extra websites I have added at the end of this field trip)

During each stop you are required to write a paper with two paragraphs. This first paragraph about each location and what you learned about each of them and the second paragraph about a similar geological location and why it didn't make the list or how it compares with the the one that did make the list. I have provided a list of websites where you can find similar geological locations under the websites link on the right of this page. Or you can find similar locations by googling that type of location. Also feel free to use a location that you have visited.

At the end of the field trip we will be taking a essay type exam where you will be answering questions about this field trip and what you have learned.
