Aurora Borealis

Aurora Borealis is known by a few different names:
Aurora Borealis, Polar Auroras, and Northern Lights.

The Polar Auroras occur both in the northern and southern hemisphere near the poles, but they are more notable in the northern hemisphere. Auroras are naturally occurring lights that create intriguing and spectacular displays in the sky. The aurora lights frequently appear as diffused glow lighting up the horizon. The most amazing sight is when the northern lights appears as waves across the sky. They appear in the sky as glowing sheets or dancing waves of colorful light.

Auroras form when a "solar wind" of charged particles from the Sun enters Earth's magnetic field, accelerating electrically charged particles trapped within. The high-speed particles then crash into Earth's upper atmosphere over the polar regions, causing the atmosphere to emit a ghostly, multicolored glow.
